BC PNP streams
Which BC PNP stream fits your situation?
British Columbia runs several nomination streams for different goals — from skilled and healthcare workers to graduates, semi-skilled workers and entrepreneurs. Choosing the right one, and maximising your SIRS score, is where guidance makes the difference.
Skills Immigration – Skilled Worker
For workers with a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer in a skilled occupation. Selection is through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) points draws.
Healthcare Professional
A priority stream for physicians, nurses, allied health and other eligible healthcare workers with a B.C. offer. Healthcare candidates are frequently invited in targeted draws.
International Graduate
For recent graduates of an eligible Canadian institution with a B.C. job offer. A strong route to PR for those building their career in British Columbia.
Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled
For workers in eligible tourism, hospitality, food-processing and long-haul trucking roles in B.C. We confirm eligibility and prepare the registration and application.
Express Entry BC
For candidates who also qualify for federal Express Entry. A BC PNP nomination adds 600 CRS points and effectively guarantees an Invitation to Apply.
Entrepreneur Immigration
For experienced entrepreneurs who will invest in and actively manage a B.C. business, including the Regional Pilot for smaller communities. Requires net worth, investment and a business plan.
How the BC PNP works
Your route from assessment to permanent residence
British Columbia's nomination process moves through a clear sequence built around the SIRS draws. We manage each step so nothing stalls your file.
- 1
Eligibility & stream assessment
We review your B.C. job offer, occupation, education and Express Entry profile to find the BC PNP stream where you are most competitive.
- 2
SIRS registration
Most BC PNP streams use the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) points draws. We build a high-scoring registration positioned for invitation.
- 3
Provincial nomination
Once invited, we prepare and submit your complete BC PNP application — documents, settlement funds and plan — and manage every program request.
- 4
Permanent residence
With your nomination secured (and +600 CRS where Express Entry applies), we file and manage your federal PR application all the way to landing.

Frequently Asked Questions
BC PNP questions, answered
Common questions about the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program, SIRS points, job offers, and 2025 allocation changes.
- What is the BC PNP?
- The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) lets the province nominate skilled workers, healthcare professionals, graduates, semi-skilled workers and entrepreneurs for Canadian permanent residence based on B.C.'s labour-market needs. Most skills streams use the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) points draws.
- Do I need a job offer for the BC PNP?
- For the Skills Immigration streams — Skilled Worker, Healthcare, International Graduate and Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled — yes, you generally need a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer. Entrepreneur Immigration does not require a job offer but has its own investment and management requirements. We assess the best fit.
- How does the SIRS points system work?
- When you register for a Skills Immigration stream, the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) scores you on factors like your job offer wage, occupation, work experience, education and language. B.C. then invites the highest-ranked candidates in regular draws, including targeted draws for healthcare, tech and other priority occupations.
- Have PNP spots been reduced for 2025?
- Yes. The federal government reduced provincial nomination allocations for 2025, so B.C.'s nominations — like every province's — are more competitive than in recent years. A well-targeted, complete application matters more than ever.
- Are you a licensed (RCIC) immigration consultant?
- Yes. Verge Immigration Services is led by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in good standing with the CICC and authorized to represent you with IRCC. We serve clients from our Winnipeg, Halifax and Moncton offices and around the world.
