We are pleased to share another success story from our Halifax office. Our client was nominated under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP), Nova Scotia Graduate stream, in a priority healthcare occupation the province is working hard to fill.
The nomination was issued for the occupation Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 33102), the continuing-care role that keeps Nova Scotia's long-term care and health system running. Like many graduate and employer-driven nominations, it was employer-restricted, tied to a specific employer and occupation, which makes accurate, complete preparation essential.
The Province of Nova Scotia received the application on April 8, 2026. Verge Immigration Services Inc. prepared and presented the file so it was complete and clearly documented, and the Confirmation of Nomination was issued on July 7, 2026, roughly three months later.

The nomination is an original nomination valid until July 31, 2027, which gives the client ample time to submit the complete permanent residence application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Because this is a base (non-Express Entry) provincial nomination, the PR application is made directly through IRCC's Permanent Residence Portal rather than through Express Entry.
Nova Scotia continues to prioritize healthcare and continuing-care workers, and a well-prepared NSNP application in one of these in-demand occupations is a strong route to permanent residence. Choosing the right stream and presenting the file correctly is where professional guidance makes the biggest difference.
