A Ukrainian citizen and spouse retained Verge Immigration Services Inc. to assist with their family reunification in Canada. While the spousal sponsorship application was in process from outside Canada, we first applied for and received a visitor visa, allowing the couple to reunite and reside together in Canada during processing.
Once the applicant was in Canada, our office prepared and submitted a work permit application, enabling the applicant to work legally and continue supporting their family while awaiting the outcome of their permanent residence. The Applicant received their work permit approval for three years today, allowing them to work here and access healthcare and other facilities available to work permit holders in Nova Scotia.

On September 18, 2025, the work permit was approved, valid for multiple years. This layered approach, first obtaining temporary entry through a visitor visa, followed by a work permit, ensured continuity and stability for the couple throughout their immigration process.
At Verge Immigration Services Inc., we provide tailored strategies that combine both temporary and permanent pathways, allowing families to stay together and move forward with their Canadian immigration goals.
