A family retained Verge Immigration Services Inc. after receiving their work permit in Canada under the PGWP category while holding temporary status in Canada. And we submitted a PNP application under the Manitoba PNP and obtained an approval. However, the Principal Applicant and the dependent spouse and child had only one year work permit, making their path a bit tricky.
We first obtained a PNP approval under the International Education Stream Category of the Manitoba PNP and then applied for the PR application. After the PR application, we then needed to extend the status of the Applicant and the family to make sure they were complying with the conditions of their stay in Canada.
On September 17, 2025, the principal applicant’s work permit extension was approved, valid until 2027. The spouse also received a new work permit, and their child was issued a study permit, allowing the entire family to remain in Canada without interruption while their permanent residence application continues in process.

This case demonstrates the importance of coordinating PNP-based PR applications with timely extensions of temporary status. Verge Immigration Services Inc. ensures that applicants and their families remain fully authorized in Canada throughout their immigration process.
